It is the first live-action film version of the character since the 1941 Television show “Adventures of Captain Marvel”, directed by Horror specialist David Sandberg. Here’s the DC Shazam Review.

The movie is set in New York 1974, a young boy ‘Thaddeus Sivana’ is magically transported to the Rock of Eternity, a magical temple in another dimension, by the ancient magician Shazam. Shazam explains that he has spent centuries in search of a new champ, who is truly “pure of heart,” after his first turned evil and unleashed the Seven Deadly Sins upon the ancient earth. The Sins, now trapped in figurine within the Rock, tempt Thaddeus with promises of supernatural capability, and the boy is banished back to World as unworthy to be the New Champion.

In a mid-credits scene of Shazam!, Sivana is recruited into a partnership with a creature “Mister Mind”. In a post-credits scene, Freddy tests whether Shazam has the ability to talk to fish, citing Aquaman, only for Shazam to dismiss the ability as stupid.

DC Shazam! offers an encouraging likeness of foster supervision, as the best recent family to take Billy Batson in are good people who want the best for Billy. Life changes for the small boy following an unparallel encounter with a mysterious magician who turns him into an adult healthy matured superhero.

While Billy isn’t familiar with how a superhumans works, his geek friend Freddy Freeman (Grazer), steps in to help him through the procedure of self-realization and how to do the ‘super’ job. The importance and effects of the stepfamily in the persons are a covering narrative in the movie “Shazam!”. The villain in Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong) was triggered by how his brother and father treated him as a child.
