Indian films are popularly known for their rooted culture of family and romantic dramas. But there are many rooted stories which need to be told in a certain way. And Gali Guleiyan is one of those movies. The film was made in a minimal budget in a way how a Bollywood indie movie made. But honestly, it’s not a very hard art house drama. It’s a story of an Indian middle-class audience in big towns and cities. Bollywood movies showcase “Chandi-Chowk” as a kite flying with happy go lucky characters nearby, But Gali Guleiyan showcase in a realistic manner and also shot in real locations.

The film showed real Purani Dilli. The way how the film is captured in the camera is just extraordinary and masterly done. The background music done by Dana Niu is looking very personal to an audience and also makes an intense thrilling drama.

Now about the performance of the film. The film stars some of the great actors of our Industry. The main protagonist Manoj Bajpayee’s method acting shines in a very well way. He is just living the character of Khudoos, who is an electrician and loves to spy on other peoples life. Next is Neeraj Kabi, we have seen very less from him. Another film as a super villain like ego, like in Byomkesh Bakshi and Netflix Original hit “Sacred Games”, but he portrayed these characters very differently. The very talented actor and look real a villain father of a son.
Shahana Goswami coming back in films after a long time and she makes her presence with her natural and believable acting. Ranvir Shorey as Ganeshi, the only friend of Khuddoos and it is enjoyable to see him whenever he came in the screens.
