Halloween 2018 movie is the eleventeenth movie in the franchise, The first movie release 1978 after 7 movies in the franchise 20 years late there came Halloween H20, then after 20 years, this Halloween comes. Halloween 2018 Movie Review

This collab of Mirax and Blumhouse will surprise both old and new type of audience of the slasher genre. The story took place after 40 years, this is bizarre on paper, but the final product is for true Halloween niche audience. In most of the scene, you will not see the kills done by Michael Myer, instead, they show the aftermath of the kills. You’ll definetly need to watch the previous Halloween movie to get the full essence of the movie even it release four decades before. Or just read the plot of Halloween 1973.

Halloween 2018 Movie Story

Halloween 2018 movie took place after forty years, means after the first movie in the franchise. After murder happened in in the Midwestern town of Haddonfield 1978. Two British crime podcasters partners- Aaron Korey and Dana Haines, went to Smith’s Grove Sanitarium to take interview of Michael Myers/The Shape, who was captured after Dr. Samuel Loomis shot him off of the Doyle house balcony.

Dr. Ranbir Sartain, who has been treating Michael since Samuel Loomi’s death, informs them that Michael is able to speak but chooses not to. Aaron does not succeed to get to speak Michael, even after candidate Laurie Strode, the sole survivor of the 1978 murders.

The duo of podcasters goes to interview Laurie, who has spent the last forty years dealing with post-traumatic tension exerted and preparing for Michael’s inescapable return. Her feelings have resulted in two failed marriages and losing custody of her daughter Karen, who goes on to have her own daughter, Allyson.

Aaron and Dana tell Laurie their excite in searching out why Michael committed the murders and ask her to meet with him in the last chance to get him to speak before he is transferred to a higher security jail, but Laurie refuses for them meeting.

Dylan Arnold – Cameron Elam, Allyson’s boyfriend and son of Lonnie Elam from the first film.

The film has some interesting twist but they let it go given less importance than moves on to stop the boogie man. David Green has made a very smart sequel to a slasher classic and not repeating the highlights of the previous movie and others in chronology. The newer characters don’t make any refreshment but fit into it. Watch Halloween 2018 movie for its slasher scary moments and fantastic performance of Jamie Lee.
