The Story of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi

Happy played by Sonakshi Sinha, a horticulture professor arrives in Shanghai and the other Happy played by Diana Penty along with husband Guddu played by Ali Fazal also lands up in the Chinese city at the same time. Gangsters who’ve come to kidnap Happy and her husband means Diana and husband, pick up the wrong Happy, while Guddu and his wife Happy are escorted to a university to deliver a lecture on horticulture. From then the confusion and fun begin.

Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi Actor’s Performance

Sonakshi Sinha as a new Happy as a professor doesn’t shine at all, even after doing earlier comedy films her one-liners and punch dialogues doesn’t make you laugh. The two-person who is funny is the earlier cast actors Jimmy Shergill as Daman Singh Bagga and Piyush Mishra as Usman Afridi. Jimmy Shergill in the same problem of Anand L. Rai production films of bride escaping works this time too. The new character in the film Khushwant Singh Gill played by Jassi Gill has his moments where he got a distinction. But it seems the character is forcefully inserted to make funny. There is a scene where Jimmy Shergill said to Jassi “Tu Gill Hain Toh Hum Shergill Hain”. Abhay Deol and Momal Shaikh are not in the sequel, and Ali Faizal and Diana Pently are in an extended cameo to remind us it’s a sequel to “Happy Bhaag Jayegi”.

In the first installment, the most cynical characters appeared funny. Both the characteristics are missing in the sequel.

In-Depth Analysis of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi

The story does not take any time in introducing the new characters, and it gives less importance to all the characters. Comedy of Errors is always a talked about point for Bollywood comedy movies. We had earlier seen in films like Angoor, Bol Bachchan, Gol Maal (1979), One Two Three and many more.

Even though it’s titled on a female character, the show stealers are the men’s unlike the Anand L.Rai film franchise “Tanu Weds Manu” which made Kangana Ranaut and actress Swara Bhaskar as the audience and as well critics favorites. Some of the Chinese people survive the stereotyping which is not rare for an Indian movie.

A Chinese person helps Sonakshi to escape from a spot because he is a fan of Dangal, that’s an excellent reference to the hit film but should be written in a better way. Some of the shots are shot in beautiful locations by cinematographer Sunil Patel and the songs by Sohail Sen which are not great at all.

This 2hours 15minutes longer films with some dull moments, have some excellent gags which will make you smile and Aziz writes the scenes for the supporting cast makes a worth watching and satisfying sequel.
