#1. Venom

That’s a surprise standalone film from the studio. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer, who had earlier made Zombieland. The screenplay was written by Scott Rosenberg, Jeff Pinkner, and Kelly Marcel. Tom Hardy is doing the title role of the superhero which was based on the comic character created by David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane, published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with Spider-Man.

The character is an investigative journalist who becomes the host of perceiving an alien Symbiote with an amorphous, liquid-like form, who requires a host, usually human, to bond with for its survival. After bonding with a human host, the Symbiote presents its improve powers upon the host. When the Venom Symbiote bonds with a human, that new dual-life form usually refers to itself as “Venom”. The Symbiote was originally introduced as a living alien costume in The Amazing Spider-Man #252 (May 1984), with a full first appearance as Venom in The Amazing Spider-Man #300 (May 1988).

The new version began in March 2017 to start a new shared universe featuring the Marvel characters to which Sony possessed the film rights, though Sony Pictures also intends for the film to be a part of the sub-series of Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is set in the MCU(Marvel Cinematic Universe).

#2. A Star is Born

Here is the problematic part of Anticipating Hollywood movies releases. First two movies from of our list of Anticipating Hollywood movies in our list is releasing on the same date. However, A Star is Born released a month before in Venice with some positive feedbacks.

The film is a remake of 1937 film of the same name. This was the third film remade from “A Star is Born”, which was also remade in 1976 directed by James Pierson. One of the biggest reason to watch the movie is a debut of Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper who is also acting in the lead role. Lady Gaga as the female lead reprising the original role of Esther Blodget, done by Janet Gaynor. The original film won two Oscars of 1937, by the new movie trailer expectations are on the same page.

Sony already made a film with the character in the first franchise of Spiderman and out of Spiderman, Venom looks odd and risky but Marvel has made a great impression on the characters we don’t give so much importance. #3. Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween is a horror comedy film directed by Ari Sandel and written by Rob Lieber. It is based on the children’s book series of the same name by Robert Lawrence Stine and is a stand-alone sequel to the horror-comedy film Goosebumps, released in 2015.

The plot is set in the small town of Wardenclyffe on Halloween Night, two kids – Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor) and Sam (Caleel Harris) find a manuscript in a deserted house that was previously owned by R. L. Stine (Jack Black) called “Haunted Halloween.”

When they open it, they introduced to Slappy (voice given by Avery Lee Jones) who plans to create the Halloween Apocalypse with the help of his alliance of Halloween monster. Now, Sonny and Sam, alongside Sonny’s sister, Sarah (Madison Iseman) and Stine himself, must work to prevent Slappy’s plot before all disappear.

Straight horror movies are not for everyone, but this light-hearted horror comedy is for everyone and must watch if you like the characters of the first installment of the franchise. Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween will be released alongside First Man and Bad Times at the El Royale.

Taking the fourth position in Anticipating Hollywood Movies is First Man is a biographical drama film directed by Damien Chazelle and written by Josh Singer, popularly known for The Post. based on the book First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong by James R. Hansen.

Coming out of the musical romantic drama team of La La Land, the director-actor duo came with a topic no one is ready for. The film stars Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong, alongside a long list of talented actors like Claire Foy as Janet Shearon, Armstrong’s first wife, Jason Clarke as Ed White, the first American to walk in space who was killed during a pre-launch test, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Abbott, Patrick Fugit, and Lukas Haas. First Man follows Neil Armstrong leading up to the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon in 1969.

The eleventh installment of slasher Halloween franchise is premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8 and is scheduled for release in the United States on October 19, 2018, by Universal Pictures. The movie received positive reviews from critics, who considered it to be a return to form for the slasher series and lauded Curtis’ performance.

Halloween is set 40 years after the original film, the plot follows Laurie Strode as she comes face-to-face with Michael Myers for a final showdown on Halloween night. Dimension Films coming with the ruler production house of horror genre “Blumhouse” is a reason for the success of the franchise revive.

On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 85% based on 52 reviews, with an average rating of 7.2/10, with the best stated as “Halloween largely wipes the slate clean after decades of disappointing sequels”.

#6. Mid90s

Mid90s had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 2018 with widespread critical acclaim. Mid90s is scheduled to be released in the theatres on October 19, 2018, by the independent entertainment company A24.

The movie is set on the 1990s, about a 13-year-old Stevie (Sunny Suljic) lives in Los Angeles with his violent and cruel older brother Ian(Lucas Hedges), and single mother Dabney(Katherine Waterston). While roaming around, he comes across Motor Avenue Skateshop and walks in the following day. After trading with his brother for a skateboard,

Stevie brings it to the shop and befriends young skater Ruben(Gio Galicia), who later introduces him to the rest of the group – Ray, Fuckshit and Fourth Grade. Although not good at skating, Stevie quickly fits in with the group, nicknaming him “Sunburn”. Ruben, who thinks he is being replaced as the “younger kid” in the group, starts taking a distaste for Stevie. And after that Stevie changes in a very bad way and he started up smoking and drinking at a party, and has the first sexual taste of his life and that brings in the stage of the end of innocence.
