Netflix Punisher Season 2 Review
The season 2 starts one year after the events of Punisher Season 1 where Frank Castle meets a young blonde girl at a bar who insults him. The girl calls a Russian gangster requesting a meeting to sell some pictures. The gangster is tied to a chair and being questioned by a man for the photos. After hanging up, Frank kills the gangster. That night, the bartender tells to Frank that her name is Beth and asked him to grab a drink at her place. The following night, he returns to the bar to meet up with Beth but see a bunch of goons searching the bar, while the blonde girl tries to get unnoticed by them. Then in a fight sequence at the bar when Frank involved, but Beth gets shot seriously.
Frank bring her into a nearby truck and heads for a nearby hospital, taking the blonde girl with him. Frank shoots and kills more peoples of the group who were chasing them, reaches the hospital, and somehow Beth survives. They keep driving meanwhile, Dinah Madani visits Billy Russo’s hospital room shortly after she leaves. That’s all we had seen in the first episode ‘Roadhouse Blues’.
The season is filled with some eye-catching visuals, raw and intense gunfights that can make any Marvel Superhero fan feel powerful just by watching them binge. Punisher Season 2 progresses as Frank tries to fix with Amy while keeping her at an arm’s distance. The Krista-Billy’s modern Bonnie-Clyde love can teach us a whole new meaning of what love looks like from outside. People build their own castles around the family with stone walls.
Punisher second season told everything that we want to know just like Daredevil which was canceled after some days after it’s premiered. Don’t get surprised if Punisher got canceled as it has no cliffhangers at the end of the last episode. Yes, there left a question but it is a more personal issue. At the end of Daredevil Season 3, it was not concluded clearly about Matt and Karen relationship. Now in this season of Punisher Karen and Frank looks intense and just like Daredevil it doesn’t conclude about their relationship.
Frank had his grand own castle with his wife, children inside it safe and loved. When his trusted neighbor Billy killed his family, Frank was left alone in the castle and loneliness is the mind’s prison. You’ll never trust others, afraid of getting hurt. You know that because of our lifestyle, somebody might get hurt because of you. And when that happened to Frank, to a war veteran with primal rage, you can see what he’s capable of and what he’s willing to do.

Jon Bernthal from The Walking Dead guy to Punisher it looks his more intensity in voice modulation. He fits best for any violent antihero which is quite clap-worthy for his nuances. Ben Barnes played the confused ‘Jigsaw’ and well portrayed the iconic character from the comic book. Dinah Madani made a quite impressive, at last, she joined CIA and offered Frank a job but he declined it. Punisher S02 started with mixed to rave reviews but later fans scored with distinction marks like 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.0/10 on IMDb. Overall, the storytellers and Marvel stuck to its guns this time by delivering what ‘The Punisher’ promises with the first season. Punisher Season 2 is moderately entertaining, blood spilling vigilantism with countless bullets and body count.
